The Kstovsky factory of amphibious all-terrain vehicles “Zvezda” has officially unveiled the first unit of the Zvezda T24 Arctic bus, developed for transportation in the Far North.
The launch coincided with the opening of the new factory in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, which will be responsible for the serial production of the brand’s models — previously known under the name “Rusak.”

Robust design for extreme conditions
The Zvezda T24 was designed to withstand the severe conditions of the Arctic, operating in temperatures as low as –60 °C. With a capacity of 24 passengers, the amphibious vehicle features luggage racks and is fully assembled from domestically produced components.
Equipped with ultra-low-pressure tires, the T24 ensures high cross-country capability and wear resistance. Thanks to its boat-like structure, it can cross bodies of water, sailing at speeds of up to 25 km/h. On land, it can reach up to 80 km/h.
In addition, it has two 350-litre fuel tanks, providing a range of more than 1,000 km. Initial tests have already been carried out in swampy areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region, proving its efficiency in different terrains.
Mass production and special versions
The new plant is set up to produce 50 vehicles per year, including versions adapted for ambulance and cardiac intensive care use.
The market outlook is promising: according to estimates, demand for all-terrain vehicles like the Zvezda T24 could reach up to 5,000 units per year in Russia alone, particularly in Arctic and hard-to-reach regions.
